Breaking News: Vikki crowned Star Baker
We love networking - and when there is cake involved, you cannot keep us away.
All for charity to celebrate the NHS's 70th Birthday, Vikki and Karen baked their own signature bakes to present to Business Builders South attendees.The cakes were put in front of Richard Peckham and Darren Morrison who judged and tasted the cakes.
And Vikki's Rhubarb and Custard cake was placed 1st!
She had tough competition from 2nd Place which was a fresh cream and strawberry, three tier wonder!Karen made an apricot and lemon cake, and there was Ginger loaf cake, two gorgeous chocolate cakes and rock cakes competiting too!
The cakes then went on sale to raise money for Portsmouth Hospitals Charity and left overs going to the hospital to be sold.Our NHS is 70 years old! Bake off aside, we have all benefited from the NHS. There is so much negative news, but today is a day to reflect how luck we are to have it.
